Vera Shanshan Lin, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the School of Management at Zhejiang University, China. She completed her PhD study in 2013 from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Her research interests include economic analysis of tourism demand, tourist behavior, and digital life service in tourism. Her research has been published in top forecasting and tourism journals such as International Journal of Forecasting, Annals of Tourism Research, Tourism Management and Journal of Travel Research.
She is currently the Associate Editor of Annals of Tourism Research and editorial board members of Journal of Travel Research, Tourism Economics, Asia Pacific Journal of Tourism Research, Journal of Destination Marketing & Management, Tourism Review, and Tourism Management Perspectives. She is the principal investigator for several national and regional research projects with the focus on smart destinations and digital tourism. She has been involved in a number of research/consultation projects related to tourism forecasting and digital tourism, including Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), Tourism Commission, Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, Hong Kong Tourism Board, Ocean Park (Hong Kong), and Hong Kong Disneyland.
