Digitalization Boost Corona –
How Structured Data Can Direct Streams of Visitors in Destinations in Real Time and What Role Open Data Will Play in the Future

COVID-19 calls for digital solutions, because Corona has radically changed tourism. In order for travel to take place at all, visitor management concepts are a central component of destination management. Together with St. Peter-Ording and Lufthansa Industry Solutions, we have launched a pilot project for measuring occupancy rates and guiding visitors, which has attracted attention throughout Germany.

As the first live platform for Open Data, we thus deliver absolute added value with and from structured data. In this workshop we want to show why Open Data will be the format of the future for tourism.

Since graduating in international business administration, Adi Hadzimuratovic has been active in e-commerce – sometimes on his own (founded the startups torfreunde GmbH and yavalu GmbH) and sometimes as an employee. Through many years of leading positions at HRS and HolidayInsider, Adi Hadzimuratovic brings a wealth of experience in “tourism” to his role as Managing Director of neusta destination solutions.
