Conference Theme:

Inclusive power of e-Tourism: connecting culture, technology and sustainability

Travel and tourism are important parts of modern, global society. They provide many benefits for communities all around the world. Technology has the possibility to emphasize the positive impacts of tourism while reducing the negative impacts. Instead of an exclusive activity, we should aim to find ways to include how tourism can bring benefits to society as a whole and take into account groups that are often marginalized or excluded. Connecting cultures, technology, and sustainability through tourism can help create an understanding of the possibilities that e-Tourism creates for a more inclusive society.

ENTER23 e-Tourism Conference brings together researchers and educators, tourism and hospitality industries, governments, and technology providers to find ways how technologies in tourism and hospitality could increase the inclusiveness of the field. The conference, with the theme Inclusive power of Tourism: connecting culture, technology and sustainability, contributes to the science and practice of tourism and provides various stakeholders possibilities to network, innovate, learn, experience, and develop the tourism field.

The International Federation for IT and Travel & Tourism (IFITT) together with Seeza Network, and Durban and Tshwane Universities of Technologies, call for the global e-tourism community, academics, technology and travel and hospitality business, destinations, and NGOs to contribute to ENTER Conference to think about how tourism and technology together can make tourism more inclusive.
