Bio: Professor Dimitrios Buhalis is Director of the eTourism Lab and Deputy Director of the International Centre for Tourism and Hospitality Research, at Bournemouth University Business School in England. He is a Strategic Management and Marketing expert with specialisation in Information Communication Technology applications in the Tourism, Travel, Hospitality and Leisure industries. He is the Editor in Chief of Tourism Review and the Editor in Chief of the Encyclopedia of Tourism Management and Marketing. Dimitrios’ current research focus includes: Artificial Intelligence and Metaverse, Real-Time and Nowness, Smart Tourism and Smart Hospitality, Social Media Context and Mobile Marketing (SoCoMo), Augmented Reality, Technology-enhanced Experience Management and Personalisation, Reputation and Social Media Strategies, Accessibility and Special Diet (Allergens) Tourism. Professor Buhalis has written and co-edited more than 25 books and 400 scientific articles. Professor Dimitrios Buhalis was recognised as a Highly Cited Researcher 2020, 2021 and 2022 by Clarivate™. He is featured in the Stanford University’s database of the world’s top 2% of scientists. He is the 3rd most cited for tourism, 2nd most cited for hospitality, 10th on strategy, and 29th in Marketing on Google Scholar with more than 60000 citations and h-index 105. He was also ranked #5 in the UK and #46 in the world in the Business and Management Scientists list by Research.com. Dimitrios works closely with United Nations World Tourism Organisation and the World Bank to ensure that his innovative research has relevance and impact to global communities. Sara Dolnicar, Research Professor of Tourism at The University of Queensland

Keynote topic: How technology could help shape environmental sustainability of tourism over the next 30 years
Bio: Sara Dolnicar is a social scientist and Research Professor of Tourism at The University of Queensland in Australia. With degrees in business and psychology, she is best known for her work in improving market segmentation methodology and empirical measures in social science research. She is also an expert in the topic of Airbnb. Currently, Sara is focusing on developing and experimentally testing ways to make consumers behave in more environmentally friendly ways – voluntarily.
Sara has published more than 300 refereed articles, which have been cited more than 17,000 times. She is the editor-in-chief of Annals of Tourism Research, and reviews grant applications for the national funding bodies of more than a dozen countries around the world. She is an elected fellow of numerous professional associations, and the winner of more than 30 research awards. In recognition of the global excellence and impact of her research and her work in knowledge transfer, Sara has been named TTRA Distinguished Researcher and Slovenian Ambassador of Science.

Panel Topic: Zoo 2075: The Liminality of Technological Singularity
Dr Ian Yeoman LPSNZ is a Professor of Disruption, Innovation and New Phenomena at NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences. Ian is the champion of tourism futures based upon his initial work as Scenario Planner at VisitScotland where he introduced scenario construction, economic modelling, and trends analysis within the organization in order to understand and make sense of the external environment.
Ian then moved to New Zealand where he was involved in a number of tourism futures projects for government agencies and national strategies whilst an Associate Professor at Victoria University of Wellington.
Ian is the co-editor of the Journal of Tourism Futures, author of over 70 research papers and 22 books. He is presently writing / editing a number of books including ‘2075: The Future of Food Tourism’, ‘Scenario Planning and Tourism Futures’ ‘The Future of Tourism Through the Lens” and ‘Scenarios for Global Tourism’ for publication in 2024/25.
